Episode 08

11th Place, 2nd Juror

Episode 08

Postby Holly Hoffman » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:02:17 am

Wow, what a way to start the merge, but there are a few things we'd like to know.

Kim J left with a strong majority tonight. Do you think that maybe it was a wasted opportunity to take out a bigger player?

There's been a lot of talk about idols in the recent rounds, particularly with Sean. No sign of them at tribal council though. Does it concern you that there's this talk but nothing has happened yet? What about the new idol that has been hidden?

Now that we've hit the jury, how do you plan on impressing those watching in order to convince them YOU should win Stranded in Venezuela?

I made friends with Kim J.

I'm aligned with Gina.
I'm aligned with Lindsey.
I'm aligning with Sean.
Pat has talked game strat with me.
Vecepia seems open to game strat.
Linda even has been opening up to me.
I have been aligned with Lex in the past, I need to work on that more.

So, yeah. I think I'll have friends in the jury if I can build on these relationships, and win some challenges.

No more low balling it.

Gabe is a no show to most events. He's a goat at this point.

Sarah is too distant, she needs to go next. Kim P I don't trust.

I've officially given up, yes, GIVEN UP, my quest for the hidden immunity idol. All of the amazingly creative, intelligent, wonderful possibilities I've tried have not yielded me anything. So, I am left to assume Probst is terrible at riddles and his clues are so far off base that it's probably a random foreign word a word that is stupid.

About 500 Venezuela words on the wiki, about 500 betrayal/backstab type words, about 50000000 Venezuela crier legend words, our stupid tribe name and all of its things related to it, spider stupidity words, about 500 venezuela tribe-like words, about 500 alliance type words, oh and then 1000494949495y4397857y7285783246y5872656265782672852786782346782567 super creative great words that didn't work either.

Returning to this, do you have anything bigger than this, or is it just a lot of one-on-one relationships? How do these twos and threes fit together into a bigger pattern?

Do you expect to be able to herd these relationships into voting the same direction when you need it?

Gina is connected to Gabe
Pat and Gina agree on who to vote for
Sean is connected to Vecepia, they agree on who to vote for.
Lindsey and Linda are connected and they agree on who to vote for.
A consensus is usually made quite easily.

And I haven't, I don't think at least, pissed anyone off.

My hope is to get close to Sean/Vecepia, wait until the other people I'm alligned with bring up their names as targets, warn them, get them to use their idols to idol out whoever is a threat at that point, then once the idols are gone, target Sean, get him out of the way, then those who can beat me I'd target.

I'd try to go to the end with Vecepia, Linda, Lindsey, Gabriel, then take out Lindsey and Linda.

So, I need to work on building those alliances at the moment.

Everyone I'm currently aligned with can beat me. Obviously.

I even had people believing I voted for Kim J to stay, so If Im up against Vecepia/Gabe I'd have her vote.

So it's all about timing and winning at the right moments. I do need to win one soon to build up why I should win.

If it was up to me, Kim P would go next, or Sarah.

Let's see if I can make that happen!

"If it was up to you" - That is an unusual way to phrase that. I see you talking about taking opportunities when they come, timing and winning, but talk to me about control. How much control do you feel you have here? Who do you think has the most control over the game of anyone left - who is the Head Bitch in Charge (HBIC) of the game? And do you have enough control/influence to make sure you don't get booted if they decide it's your time to go?

In Charge?

If anyone is in charge I'd have to think it would be Pat. Sean's gonna sink his own ship with his idols. Sarah is not long for the game.

And that's about everyone I think think's they're in charge of this game.

I can't get Pat out until I get Sarah out, then I'd have to wait until Gina goes, unless I could convince Sean to idol Pat out.

Sadly I don't have an idol because of Jeff's poor word choice and because I never had a clue to the old idols.

For some reason Jeff didn't choose the word observe, or unfaithful, I guess he was high or something when he came up with his riddles. nor is it stab or snuff, its not burn kill betray or backstab, etc.

The legend says that "La Sayona" was a young woman named Melissa. She lived in a small town in the plains of Venezuela and was the most beautiful girl there. She was married to a great man, caring and loving. Melissa and her husband had a baby boy. One day, Melissa was swimming naked in a near-by river, when a man from the village saw her. After that, the man would always follow her and watch her bathe in the river. One day Melissa saw him and told him to leave her alone; he ignored her, and instead told her that he was there to warn her: "Your husband is having an affair with none other than your mother," he said. Melissa ran home and found her husband asleep with the baby in his arms. Blind with anger, she burned the house with them inside. Villagers could hear their screams while Melissa ran to her mother's house. She found her on the patio and attacked her with a machete, striking her in the stomach. As the mother bled to death, she cursed Melissa by saying that from then on she would have to avenge all women by killing their unfaithful husbands. And from that day forward Melissa became "La Sayona".

So, none of any of those above words are it either ^ So Jeff's insistence that it has to be a legend and that it has to do with Venezuela seems pointless. Regular words would have little to do with such a horrible place, and all the foreign words both capitalized, un capitalized, and spaced out also seem not to want to work.

Maybe I'm just locked out of it.

Then there's the whole stupid spider thing. Spider doesn't work for me, nor does spider bite, web, other boring words, nor does legendery venezuelan spider names work, lols as if that has ANYTHING to do with the clues given, https://www.google.com/search?q=venezue ... e&ie=UTF-8

Black Widow doesn't even work. Like, for reals, Jeff? That's a survivor word and it matches up with the creepy second clue.

The Crier doesn't work as well.

-

Clue #1

Just like you will do in the merge,
prepared to betray your own,
Not unlike the legend,
rather than being alone.

Clue #2

My love has become a legend,
For him, I would never cease,
Now I roam the earth alone,
Weeping without any release.

So apparently this thing is both SOMETHING "Just like you will do in the merge," and SOMEONE "My love has become a legend," multiple someones "For him, I would never cease," It also likes to "roam the earth alone," while at the same time it isn't alone "rather than being alone."

Just like you will do in the merge: I don't know what kinky shit Jeff is into, but we had no feast, or anything like that, we didn't even name our tribe, he did. What did we do in the merge beside meet each other, and form alliances both of which are not the words nor are there 50 synonyms.
prepared to betray your own: backstab to betray to blindside and back again are not the words.
Not unlike the legend: yeah, THE LEGEND, o.o
rather than being alone: again, form alliances, talk to people, bond, join, and 100 other better words that I'm too tired to remember are also not the words.

/why I gave up. If their needed to be a reason.

My love has become a legend,
For him, I would never cease,
Now I roam the earth alone,
Weeping without any release.

It's not even vampire or Bella Swan related.
