I saw a lot of very mixed and vocal opinions about me.
I do wanna talk about the part that led to my demise, cause looking from here down on us mortals is easy.
First of all, I didn't realize there wasn't any rule to just photoshopping your way into idols.
Second of all, tribal numbers in a merge was too much in my head. I figured Mariche would have a plan on that swap. We had a deal, the one with more Tamanacos throws the challenges. Obvious stuff..though, Mariche tried really hard to WIN the challenges. This made me suspicious that they sent over someone with idols to do some blindsides. Which is why I didn't question Sean's idols AT ALL, I suspected he had them before hand.
Thirdly, the vote. Plan was, if the "deal" doesn't go through, which I suspected it won't, we just split the votes 2-2 and flush the idols. I PM'd my alliance 4 times with the split votes before PMs went down just to make sure there's no Tysons.
So Kim J just gives up Cacique for free, screws up splitting the vote. With just Vecepia left and how hard Sean fought to keep her, I figured he'll just play an idol for her to be sure. Just before tribal started I told Lex to not be stupid and take any deals, just split it. But now, with Sean Cacique and the whole thing smelling REALLY fishy, I knew I was toast. Kept playing it as if we'd vote Lex but knew it was a very very long shot. Getting rid of me was too tempting.
Everything would've went perfect if I had the backing of the Tamanacos and Kim J wasn't such a crazy person. I asked them to give me Cacique and the Immunity necklace so I can actually negotiate with Sean from a position of power and force him to get rid of Vee. If getting rid of me was off the table, with the merge pending and by showing Tamanco is united enough to split that vote, Sean would've probably given up Vee. I didn't care about the idols, he could have them for all I cared, I just wanted the merge to be Tamanaco in advantage for a few easy votes.
It all went to shit cause Kim J was all paranoid that Sean and Vecepia would vote her out if she gave up Cacique, I had to spend most of the day trying to calm her down. Very Dawn Meehan like, only 10 times worse. I had to suggest that worst case scenario me linda and her would vote lex, and that she's safe no matter what. However that got to Lex... Lex lied to me before about talking strategy with Lindsey so I knew she had him in her Linda group. Fully knew Lex wanted to betray me eventually, but I figured its in his best interest to get a tamanaco merge. Now its 6-6 and he didn't get any idols for it. All he got is a chance to ride Sean's coattails for a bit. Linda however, considering the choice, I'd figured she'd stick with the 5 man alliance and not rock the boat.
Overall, I learned I'm overthinking things and should probably dial down the plays a little.
P.S. Bite me Caryn.
