You must be close by now;

Clue #1

Every story has a start,
every journey has an end.
If you wish to survive this game,
Locating this power will help you, friend.

Clue #2

Dont go searching far and wide,
it'll just run you out of breath.
What you seek is in this region,
and can help prevent your death.

Clue #3

To find the end, start at the beginning,
The history of Venezuela at least...
If its the idol you're trying to find,
Look towards the sea in the belly of the beast.

Clue #4:

Explorers from Jonah to Ahab
have sailed the ocean blue,
They all have the beast in common,
that the original Venezuelan explorer passed through.

Diane, I can clear up some of the confusion that you have.

I feel your mistake was starting with small talk, on everyone. I, myself, in the first 10 minutes of the game already had a #2 ally, Mama Kim, and a 5-man alliance (majority, in Lindsey,Linda,Kim P and Mama). From that point I instructed them to infiltrate the others and feed information they get. I made sure to antagonize you with the girls, and let them take it from there. Purely strategical, I don't have anything against you personally. Mama Kim was just following my orders, and feeding me everything you were saying. Knowing that your closest real ally is Big Tom, I told Mama to plant the idea in your head that Big Tom is working with me, which he wasn't.

You were the nucleus of the "other 4" and the only one that had the possibility of forming another alliance that could endanger mine. You didn't come to me early with strategy talk, so I had no reason to work with you at that point. By pressing the small talk with everybody you made yourself a huge target in my eyes, that's why you were first to go from Tamanaco. It was much easier to bring in Clarence and new Lex who didn't have as many connections and they sold all the information they had to me for my protection and for a 4 man pact in the 7.

I can tell you this though, you were a much better player than Mama Kim was. Her only move in that deal was to fake a hidden immunity idol clue that accomplished nothing but to increase the chance you're gonna get it by luck cause you'll try more.

Also, I've tried to solve that password with 3 clues for 30-40 hours and no luck. Also seriously, don't make it the same for both tribes...

FRANK!!!! LOLOLOL
I was making alliances within the first ten minutes as well! As soon as we had voted Mama Kim the Cacique I went straight to her and asked if she wanted to stick together.

To be honest, I think you screwed yourself over by not having me on your team. I would have played an extremely loyal game had you come to me. I would have been an excellent ally that you could have trusted. If Mama Kim truly was feeding you everything I told her, then you saw how loyal I was to her and that as my number one I was telling her EVERYTHING! Every step I made went straight to her.

For a while I actually thought there's a chance you're playing HER. I couldn't be sure she was actually you're number 2 until I squeezed more information out of Lex and Clarence. Then I was like..."wait, she actually thinks that's her alliance?".

If you had come to me with strategy talk, maybe things would've been different. I guess we set ourselves up on opposite sides in the first hour of the game.

No, I definitely wasn't playing her. I'll be glad when the game is over and we can go back and read the confessionals :)

The alliance I thought we had was me, Mama, Tom, Clarence, and Lindsey. I would have been perfectly fine working with you but I felt that you, Kim P, and Linda were all snubbing me. I was just trying to find the weakest link in our tribe early on, but nobody seemed to want to make that decision, so I guess I was chosen lol

I thought I came to you with obvious strategy talk and you turned me away. I told you I thought in case we lost and had to go to tribal we needed a majority alliance in the tribe. You kept dodging it so I assume you were trying to keep me from being a part of your alliance.

I figured you were just fishing for information as I've had several people report that you just asked them that.

This is a game about information and I guess you had almost none that was true to help you make a real strategic decision.

I was in a really good position by the point of your vote, I had no reason to make new alliances.

Lol, I was trying to gauge who was strategic and who was worth entering into an alliance. Nobody wanted to talk that though, they were all like "Oh I don't wanna think about that, I wanna sit and breathe right now and have fun" icon_sick

It's a game. There's supposed to be strategy early on haha. I now realize that everybody was dodging me instead of dodging the question.

Yeah, pretty much at that point trying to talk strategy to you would be suicide for them. I'd find out.

The thing was, the question was something like "WHO YOU VOTIN?". If you're gonna get an alliance with someone you need to make them believe you choose them and only them to talk to because they are special. When everyone compared notes about you asking them who to vote, it was futile.

Well everybody at that point seemed to agree on Clarence since he hadn't shown up that first night, but then later it switched to Lex because he hadn't been around. I honestly was for creating a strong team so that we could later Pagong Mariche at the merge, but then a pecking order still had to be established within our tribe. I was all about loyalty and the preservation of our tribe until I started feeling like people were feeding me false info.

Maybe we both misjudged each other.

Haha, I was gonna say....

Btw, I know they're trying to come up with a merged tribe name, I would have totally suggested Quiriquires since that was the other tribe that Tamanaco was chief of, according to wikipedia. Just sayin. :)

Considering I spent 40 hours looking for the idol password , reading wikis and books about venezuelan exploration. Yeah that would've been fitting, I was gonna call it that as well.

I was actually wondering why Jeff didn't choose it in the first place, but it is a mouthful.
I've been casually trying to figure out that password since Brenda has been posting the clues here. Started looking at Pemon creation stories, still haven't found anything.

Do you think the whale reference is a red herring?

I tried that angle, came up empty. Golfo de Ballena (Gulf of the Whale) is a name they gave the Gulf of Paria around Columbus time. The gulf is the first entrance of Columbus in Venezuelan territory.
