Congrats on surviving yet ANOTHER episode!

What do you think of Tamanaco's challenge performance? Is it safe to say that the tribe is going on somewhat of a challenge streak?

Is there a way to delete ex-Lex's message to you in my outbox, so it doesn't show up as Outbox (1) all the time?

Other than that:

What do you think of Tamanaco's challenge performance? Is it safe to say that the tribe is going on somewhat of a challenge streak?
I think some of my tribe members are either naive or optimists. The first challenge was only won because we posted it first, not because we solved it first. That was luck that our leader was online when the other tribe's leader wasn't. And this time, we were lucky we posted before the due date and they didn't (they were 2 seconds over the limit! 2 seconds) because they would have beat us if they had simply been two seconds faster. But a lot of people are saying "oh, we're going to crush them" and "we're so much stronger than they are" when it appears to me we just got lucky twice. I don't think our challenge streak is going to continue for long.

I think they've been going pretty well. I'm starting an alliance with Frank, which I'm glad to do, because he seems like a very intelligent guy. I haven't learned enough to post here with certainty yet, but like I said last time it looks like the list is Diane -> Tom -> ???. A lot of people are reassuring me that I won't be voted out for awhile, but everybody is told that to avoid the Idol played, so I'm keeping my wits about me and still talking to people for their views on our tribe.

How are you doing as the new member of the tribe? Do you think you've integrated yourself nicely, or do you think you're a target?
I think I've integrated great, but I don't want to become too cocky/confident. I'm friends with a lot of people, which was my objective coming into this game. People have shared a lot with me and I think they trust me. However, among all of this I still do not have an answer to who's being voted off after Tom (and like I said, I don't even know if Tom is going after Diane) and I don't want to ask to appear naggy, so it's important for me to create or join a majority to avoid being blindsided, even though I've been reassured by many players I won't be targeted for a long time.

Are you assuming at this point, being the newest addition to the alliance that you are the next boot after Tom? Or are you hoping to be a swing vote within the alliance that has formed that is in power? I'll throw another scenario out at you, let's say that the Tamanaco winning streak does continue and you may lose 2 more challenges putting you in the merge in tact with the others, do you hang onto Tamanaco in hopes of being the swing and not going out 7th Or do you try to trade up and work with some of the Mariche tribe? OR is that too risky since you dont know where you would be on that tribe's pecking order?

I don't think I'm the next boot after Tom because last night I secured a top 4 alliance which will hopefully go to the end with Frank, Clarence and Kim J, and after Diane is booted (which everybody basically has agreed upon), then I'm fairly certain it's Tom, we have a 4-3 numbers advantage. But I'm not sure if this is my best interest for a couple reasons. I don't think going to the end with either Frank or Kim J. is a good idea. Both of them have strong cases to present to the jury already, and Frank in particular is very smart. Extremely smart. Not only is he good at challenges (if it were me, Clarence and him in F3 I think he'd win) but he's also very, very influential in our tribe. I think most people would almost consider him informally as second-in-command. He's also bluntly expressed why he would take me to the end bluntly (he said straight to me it's because I entered the game late.) If it were me and him F2 I'm positive right now he would win. He's too smart for his own good.

What the Tamanaco tribe is planning on right now is to hit the opposing red tribe at the merge and wipe them out, similar to South Pacific's Upolu tribe. It looks to us like the red tribe is already fracturing and like I stated in an above post our team is confident in our ability to have more numbers than them at the merge because of our supposed "challenge domination". I was even told during my time catching up from the last five days that "we kicked their butts in the first challenge". What.... I don't even. Cockiness will be our downfall.

What I want to do right now is take Clarence for a long ways, because he's a nice guy and I think I could beat him in FTC. I'm also talking with him one on and one and he hasn't really formed a bond with anyone yet except me. (He's also stated "don't let this be a Rob/Amber case haha" which I found as an interesting piece of information describing his personality.) But Frank has told me after the F4 he's (we) are booting whoever is more likeable between Kim J. and Clarence, and right now Clarence is more likeable. I'm inclined to believe Frank will want to boot Clarence at the F4, if we get there. I'm not sure if I could convince him to keep Clarence, and if I did he might begin to suspect me and kick me instead if he thinks I'd take Clarence and Clarence would take me if either of us won the challenge in the F3. (Which is what I want to do at this point)

I'd also like to ally with Lindsey, but I don't know where she stands in the alliance and it's hard to tell without getting myself in hot water for being too nosy like Diane. What I would like to do right now is F3 with her, Clarence and me with possibly Frank in F4 because Frank is just too dangerous and too smart right now. The problem is I think he has so much influence in our tribe if I try to talk to anyone else he might find out. What Frank and I have planned for now is F7 Tamanaco tribe (Diane & Tom boots) and then F4 of me, him, Kim J. and Clarence. So that means Linda, Lindsey and Kim P. would get booted in the F7-F4. What I'm hoping is to have Kim P. voted first since her and I are not very close. And that would leave Linda, Lindsey, me, Clarence, Frank and Kim J. I think at this point if I want to I could convince both Linda and Lindsey to vote with me and Clarence against Frank and Kim J. Or I could let one of them get voted out and convince the other to vote with us. But I don't even know who is going first of the 3 (assuming we make it that far, of course) and like I said earlier if Frank thinks I'm too attached with one of them he might turn on me. But if he does, he wouldn't have the numbers advantage at that point... there's so much to think about!

At this point, I'd like me, Lindsey and Clarence in the F3, since I like them both and Clarence/I would take each other if we won (I don't think I could beat Lindsey at the FTC since Frank and Kim J. would probably vote for her and she has influence in the tribe) but then again Frank and Kim J. are almost deadlocks to win if they make it to the F2 because of their influence. And if I had a choice I'd rather have Lindsey or Clarence win if I can't because they're nice people.

(you can tell I'm thinking about this a lot)

So basically a summary of the above is Frank and Kim J. seem deadlocked with me and Clarence for the F4. Clarence doesn't appear to be thinking about this much but I might be able to convince him of a different plan (the plan I laid out above) and he would go along with it. And right now I'm thinking this F4 is not ideal for me at all, since two of them (Frank and Kim J.) are major threats which need to get eliminated. So there's a lot to it!

And another thing that has been on my mind for a long time is I'm expecting a twibe switch, mutiny, or any twist that will shake up the numbers, because if I were the host I would do a twist to change the game around. So for me, everything is not set in stone yet.

I don't want to work with the Mariche tribe yet, a lot of them seem whiny, cocky or just silly. (#lastword? ... )

RE: Questions about genders. Nope, no correlation at all, so that hottie you're chatting up could indeed be hiding a surprise um "package". I usually wait till finale night to tell the people flirting with me that I'm a dude icon_chaos

People are assigned their character based on the applications they fill in pre-game, and we try make them fit as best we can. You're the exception to the rule with the tag out, but for instance, OldLex was likely a bit of a schemer and maybe fancied himself a smooth operator, a lá RL Lex. It's a personality match more than anything, and Probst here usually gets them fairly spot on.

My objective coming into this anyway was to get people to like me like J.T. did o_o that's the main reason I'm talking with everybody so much. And it's easier to know what to talk about to certain people if you know their genders.

...

but it's also nice to talk to people about things in common, it's something I haven't done much. So I'll feel bad if I have to blindside one of them. I'm hoping they won't want to blindside me because they like me lol.
