one thing I never understood was why Frank played up the fact that he was switching sides even though the vote was for you all along...

Let me explain it for people who zero strategy.

General and Vecepia actually bought it that I was with them. Sean was the only one that didn't and that's why he made the idols. You have to BLINDSIDE people, you can't just make it obvious when there's idols on the loose.

Also.
They knew we were voting out General cause you told them. They had two seemingly real idols. If we refused the deal, what's to stop Sean from playing an idol on General and vote out whoever they want? All 3 of them were present, 2 of us were present. They would've had their pick. That's why I had to play up that fact.

I only told General that literally about 2 minutes before tribal started. o_o

From Day 1 Gabriel was something I had not seen before. He was ultra excited, very emotional, but at the same time a complete UTR goat if you will. I don't mean that in a negative way, he obviously did very well for himself in the game. He just had such an odd combination that I've never seen before. Typically the over the top personalities are not rational and followers of people. That was very odd to me. He was very vocal about his distaste for Sarah, but rarely did anything about it. Which honestly is a great trait for a player in the game. His confessionals were extremely entertaining and if you haven't had the chance to see his videos, WAIT FOR IT. That was a first in this game. Above all else, I think Gabe will be remembered for his likability. So over the top positive about EVERYTHING.

Uggggggh, you are probably crushed by now ;___; But nvm the final vote count, you still have plenty to be proud of in this game. Shieldplay is the hardest gamestyle to get respect for, or even to claim credit for. I think you are well aware of it by now, but the nail in the coffin of your loss was your shaky activity around the time of the merge. A chunk of players went to the Jury, simply not knowing anything about you or whether you genuinely had control here or were just less threatening by happenstance. Were the Jurors advocating for your win just doing it out of loyalty? I will say definitely not. So as someone who got to see your whole game, let me just enlighten these people.

By the end of Round 1 Gabriel had more alliances in the game than anyone. And I don't mean Clarence-esque one-on-ones with no intention of following through on, I mean every time a voting bloc appeared on Mariche it was always "k, so it's gonna be you and me, and we have to have Gabe in.. now who else?" He was just a social natural. Which makes it all the more disappointing that not putting in the same effort with the likes of Mama Kim is what cost him the most here.

IMO out of the final three, Gabe was the most strategical. Not as strategical as some other players overall but he is absolutely correct that you can't reveal too much or you'll get taken out for being too threatening. He just walked slightly too far the other direction, by not revealing enough.

FWIW, if not for Gabe, either Lindsey would have allowed Gina to the finals, or Linda would have Lex. It was him that pushed this trio together, and it was him that risked it to get them all the best chance of winning. They can all claim they were thinking about it, but from what I saw in PMs, it wouldn't have happened without Gabe's pushing for it, so credit where credit's due. Gabe proved he was more than capable of making the best moves for his own game long after Patty left.

Also, Video Confessionals <33333 First stop after board unlock, Gabe's confessional! I recommend the one the night after the Clarence boot Tribal council. That Sarah impression

Gabe was so concerned with being likeable throughout this whole game, and honestly, it hurt him big time. I probably gave Gabe one of the hardest times in Tribal Councils and in his confessionals, and in case you guys haven't picked up on it by now, usually when Mia is giving you a hard time in your confessionals or at Tribal Council, it's to REALLY get you to think about your game and your choices. Unfortunately most of you guys ignored my efforts and just said, "No, Imma do what I wanna do" and walked to your deaths. But there was a point where Gabe finally decided that he needed to do something, so he stepped it up quite a bit. Unfortunately he still hid behind his likeable personality and his "I don't want to reveal my game" strategy. That was frustrating to watch, because usually the jury interprets that strategy as "oh, well you did like nothing, so I'm not voting for you." It's amazing how much a jury's mind is already made up going into the FTC, and Gabe's strategy just isn't the way to win over a jury 9 times out of 10. Really though, Gabe was great, so I feel bad bashing his game. He definitely had it in him to get the win, but ultimately he fell short. I'm glad we had a Gabe here though, because the positivity and enthusiasm just makes hosting worth it! Thanks for playing, Gabe!

I've been sooo conflicted over you. You're pretty funny and great to have around but at the same time there was just this feeling that, I don't know but it's just, yeah. Your enthusiasm was amazing and I think all of us hosts loved just how much you got into this game. You are probably a little disappointed not to have done better at the finale and if you read through Ponderosa it might make things worse. I think I started to stray off the Gabe bandwagon coming up to the FTC thanks to the crap going on in the jury but that's not your fault. I'm sure you had fun and really enjoyed the experience we gave you. Thank you so much for playing!
