Jeff says... Patricia was a boss in this game. For a majority of the pre-merge and up until her boot in the merger, she controlled what happened in this game. She was an epic ogress, a fantastic villain. She could have been more controversial for my liking, but in terms of game play, she was dominant. If she had gotten to the end, she would have deserved to win 100%. I don't know if it had anything to do with her having played the game numerous times before, but either way she was great. If she plays again, she won't be able to hide in the shaddows like she did here, and I dont think she could control the game like she did either. I guess we'll just have to see though.
Brenda says... I think there's maybe too much focus on Patty's experience here. Let's just be clear, around half the cast are brand new to these type of game, but the other half have played before - a variety of AIM games, facebook games, similar but different. Her "advantage" is that she's played this exact type of live, custom forum, anon etc game 10+ times before. Not this Series - but similar (If any of you want to try Stranded in an Australian timezone, go talk to Patty. yw Pattycakes :P ). So she had an edge on some coming into this. But like everything in Stranded, every edge is double-edged. Sure she was able to dominate, but with that comes a huge threat tag that she just couldn't shake. And let's not forget she still had to put the work in to get into that position. I really think she was really at her best with her back against the wall back in Round 1 after arriving late to the game, rallying troops to ensure she got the right voting bloc together. And it was that round of scrambling that set her into such a pretty position for the entire pre-merge. Once she got overly comfortable, she maybe got a little sloppy. Sure the unnecessary flip-flopping was fun to watch and made things more exciting, but the end result seemed to be just to lose all the trust and loyalty she had built up earlier on :/ The last time I played a game, I found myself closely allied with you, and it was clear you were a powerhouse in that game, and eventually you were taken out mid/late Jury for being such a huge threat. Being that we talked after that game about the need to not be flagged as such a threat, I will say I'm a little disappointed that you let yourself suffer the same fate here. Maybe the alliance jumping was that attempt to keep it fun and more unpredictable? Stoppit that was worse!
You still need to figure out a way around that.
I know this all sounds harsh but I also know Patty is the one player in the cast that would rather a blunt critique rather than just platitudes, but they are here too so <3 She came in late to the game yet by Round 2 was is the most powerful position on Mariche. And she managed to keep that plate spinning all the way through NuMariche and into the merge. Even at her most serious, and even during some meltdowns at Sarah, she still kept it fun and lighthearted, flicking through her PMs the one thing that struck me was that she could find something to connect with with everyone here. I think her best attribute is the sheer workload she put in here. That advantage of experience really manifested itself in one major way. She was the player in the cast who knew most just how much work it takes to truly have control in these games, and she was willing to put it in by the truckload. And I hope now with Cast Reveal your first round question about why Patty would suit you best is answered - the old hand showing these whippersnappers how it's done and how far a hard day's work can get you - it's a perfect fit <33
Mia says... Fatty Patty was definitely something else. For those of you that don't know, Patty was one of the only players we had in this game that has extensive experience with ORG's. Which is why is was freaking hilarious to see her try to guess who everyone was in her "ID Guesses" thread in her confessional. And even amidst countless hints by the hosts that she should really stop making ID guesses, she kept right at it.
Ultimately, I just wasn't a Patty fan. She played hard and played well, but when I made the push to cast her as Patty (yes it was my idea), I was hoping that she would be able to do a lot more with the rep, but I guess it was a mistake because she was just too strategically sound for it. As much as I give Patty crap though, she played a great game and would have made a great winner, but she messed up by getting rid of too many threats too soon.
Holly says... Probably one of the more seasoned players here so it wasn't surprising to see you take a strategic lead. Perhaps your late arrival helped disguise the initial threat you posed and people ran along with it while they could. Can't say I was a fan because seeing you expecting success on not only yourself but certain others does grate on my nerves. Sure, you're in the middle of two groups but that doesn't mean you can just keep jumping ship, you know. As we all saw, it caught up to you, were there sides in your boot? It was pretty much unanimous.
