Jeff says... I personally loved Diane. She was the person pre-season that I was most excited to see play. I also feel she may have had the most unwarranted hatred spewed her way since Misty in season 2. Maybe she schemed a bit too much, but I didn't think so, certainly not as badly as her tribemates made her out to. She was a good person I think and would have been a solid ally had someone taken her up on it. She was a fantastic character in her short time in the game and I would have loved to see how she might have changed people's perceptions of overtly religious people.
Brenda says... There is nothing wrong with playing hard from the off, you just need to be a little more subtle about how you do it. Figure out your footing first before you dive head in. As it was, you were stuck on a tribe with an alliance formed within the first hour of the game (ftr, my least favourite type of alliance, they never work
) and it was always gonna be an uphill struggle to find a chink in it. Had you eased off just a little, you might have recognised that and played a more Lex game of just being available to be used and slowplaying your way in, rather than trying to force moves onto them. Srsly don't sweat it though, better to play big and go home than not play at all. Loved your post-game dedication and continued hunting for the idol too, you made the LL into a welcoming place for those that followed you. Where did you go once Lurker Lodge opened? Come back and chat more!
Mia says... I've said this a lot in the host blogs and when she was voted out, but Diane reminds me so much of myself when I first played. She came out of the gate kicking and ready to play hard, setting up alliances and thinking she was in control. For some reason, this just threatened a lot of players and it was really unfortunate to watch. (Trust me, I was in the same boat, but I was saved by a tribe swap!) And then ultimately when she didn't make it to the tribe swap to put herself in a better position, it was game over for Diane. I really think that Diane needs to play more, because I'm positive that she knows what she did wrong, and she could easily make a big splash. It was a little sad to see how hard Diane was being played the whole time she was in the game, but if anything, it was a great lesson on what NOT to do at the start of a game.
Holly says... Unfortunately I wasn't too familiar with Tamanaco, focusing myself on the Mariche side of things. It's always tough being the first person to get the flick from a tribe which had early success, it may look as though you lacked gameplay after having had the time to do something but ending up leaving. But you seemed like you were switched on, I think you would have made the merge game a bit more interesting in different ways. I hope you stick around with the rest of us.
