Welcome, Frank!

Maybe next time...

Welcome, Frank!

Postby Jeff Probst » Wed Jun 26, 2013 3:03:28 am

Gone so soon, but like many other pre-mergers still managed to become a Stranded Legend!

Please stick around, with the merge just around the corner, we're gonna let you talk to the other alumni in the lurkers den!

Holeeeeee fuck. Half the lurker lodge is on suicide watch.

You played hard Frank, I'll give you that. A little too loose, but definitely hard.

Hi guys! Sad to see you all so soon! :D

Played a bit too hard and got stuck in the unfortunate situation of being one of two people on a tribe of 6 without an immunity available to me. icon_laughing

My only true ally, Mama Kim, stuck to me but she was so incredibly paranoid that day, 10 times worse than Dawn Meehan. I had a way that I was sure to work to get all Tamanacos to the merge but I needed the full support of the other 3, which I didn't have. If Kim gave me Cacique, I could've forced Sean to get rid of Vecepia, but without that...the opportunity to get rid of me was too tempting. So instead of giving it to me and help me gain some power to barter Sean's deals in my favor instead of Lexes, she gave it to Sean, for free, without reading what she was agreeing to. *facepalm*

I guess I was having too much fun playing and went too far with the shenanigans. My fatal mistake was trying to justify to Linda and Mama Kim that as a back-up plan we'd get rid of Lex. I knew Lex was in a secret (or so he thought) alliance with Lindsey but I wasn't sure how close Linda was to Lex. Logically, for safety post-merge, I figured she'd default to the 5 man alliance (me, her, Mama Kim, Kim Powers and Lindsey) and get rid of Lex. I figured Kim Powers was her and Lindsey's third wheel. But turns out, she really liked Lex. I tried to take the safe route and pagong Mariche, trying to keep the 4 tamanaco in it but they had other plans. I still think Lex and Linda don't gain much from this and should've just trusted me to force Sean to get Vee out.

Last few hours before tribal I realized something isn't right, Sean was seemingly accepting a deal that would allow me power to get Vecepia out. Lex and Linda were oddly quiet. But I was too busy trying to get Mama Kim to stop freaking out about potentially giving away her Cacique to actually figure out another way out of that mess. Once tribal started I knew I was toast.

Also, clarification on what Jeff's idol clauses can do? I mean he assured me one tribal before that I would receive that idol if I voted Linda but we couldn't make a deal 2 idols for cacique with some clauses that made sure they can't backstab us.

Anyway, this was really fun. Would love to come back and kick some butt.

Go Sean.

Aww frank. I liked your crazy crazy play! Even tough it cost me the game icon_redface icon_redface xd I wish you would have tried to work with me more,

Those idols are fake work by the way :) :) Sean told me so. He's gonna use them give it to someone and watch everything unfold when jeff will told him they're fake. I will laugh my ass off when it will happen!.

I'm on your boat! Go Sean

if he's able to keep Vecepia and go with her to the end. he'll win! I like Vee, but she's not playing very socially!

Wait, you mean to tell me the idols were fake? How the hell are we supposed to know when an idol is real in this game then? If we can just photoshop a picture and some text and Jeff will just let it happen. You can make that stuff really convincing, I could even photoshop the PM where Jeff says that.

I didn't question it because I though Mariche isn't stupid enough to want to win that challenge so fast and lose numbers at the merge unless they sent Sean over with idols. And since he has one, he has two cause the damn passwords are the same. I expected two idols so I didn't question them...son of a bitch.

I guess Lex is the bigger idiot in this picture. He took the deal, screwed his chance at a 7-5 Tamanaco to Mariche and now they are 6-6. I told him to not take any deal that doesn't get Vecepia out, but he really didn't like me using him as a pawn.

I would've loved to work with you General but I had the Tamanco tribe all figured out and if I managed to get to the merge it would've been much easier for me.

He could've lied to me so those idols can be real. I guess we'll have to wait until the end of the game

He sent me a fake clue that Sarah sent him too.

Oh my fucking god. They are fake, he just took the banner, put the idol on it then wrote the text in the same style Jeff does. Seriously that's bull. Idols in survivor are next to impossible to do a fake one that looks as good as the real deal, here its incredibly easy. I thought there's some protection or rule against that...

I made a fake idol in my season! And in fact, a lot of people do it.

This was my real idol:

and there was a green one from the other tribe, so I wanted to make a merge one JUST in case:

And then I was voted out with both in my pocket. icon_laughing

But then the plot thickens! Once Mia is voted out and takes the real and fake idol with her, Jeff decides to use Mia's FAKE idol as the REAL re-hidden idol, which is then used and rehidden TWICE to take out 2 of Mia's favorite allies. He really stuck the knife in and twisted on that one. icon_cry

Funniest part is the reason I believed Sean so quickly was because I was pretty sure he had two idols. I didn't question myself, cause there's no way I'd be wrong...right?

Overthinking...overthinking...

Oh, they were used as real idols though! And he changed it a little so you could tell it apart. Haha.

Also, you can read old seasons after this one is over, but we only have to as far back as half of Season 14 because a server crash caused everything before that to be deleted... icon_cry

Just to clarify on the fakes. At no point would a host ever confirm them as real or not until he played them. At that point it would have all been for naught. If he tried to transfer them, we wouldn't, hence all his tiptoeing around that part of it too.

Now had you pressed him for the password to the forum..
