Episode 11

4th Place, Final Juror

Episode 11

Postby Holly Hoffman » Thu Jul 04, 2013 3:54:28 am

Another Tribal Council, another blindside.

Are you worried that the next blindside may be on you? What measures are you taking to keep yourself safe?

Who is your next target?

It feels good to be back on the side of the numbers and back in the loop after the previous Tribal. I was genuinely concerned it was Lindsey and I almost played my idol on her.

I know I should never, ever say this, but I really don't think I'm in a whole lot of danger. I've got the idol, which I don't want to play. My goal is to sit until Final 6, still be on the side of the numbers, play the idol on myself when there's no risk of me even going home, and say 'yeah, I've had that about 20 minutes after Kim J was voted off.' I actually think that would earn me some jury votes, to have shown that level of self control with that thing, and to, (lets hope) always have been on the side of the numbers except on the Kim P vote. The other option is to use it on myself or an ally, most likely Lindsey, if I really feel the heat. But I'd prefer to never have to use it in that manner.

Right now I'm thinking the most appropriate action would be to get Sean or Lex next, because I think they are dangers to win the game and I think i have the numbers. We may have to burn Sarah first because I know Pat really wants her out and I want Pat on my side. Before I vote out Lex I think I may have to use him and Linda to take out Pat, because she is a huge jury threat. It will hurt and I hate to leave Gabe out of the loop, but it must be done. After that, boot Lex, take Gabe and Lindsey or Linda and Lindsey to the end and hopefully beat them. I just hope booting Pat won't cost me the game.

Now watch, I'll be blindsided Sunday evening. Hahaha.

So tell me what has happened since the challenge. Did it open your eyes to anything in particular. Is there anything going forward that you took away from it?

I don't think it opened my eyes, but I think it opened everyone elses eyes to the fact that Sean and Pat are the threats to win this game, and they have to go immediately. I've also taken away that I need to make bigger moves in this game if I want to win. That's why I think tomorrow will be Sarah first fairly unanimously, then Patricia. Following that, I want to think of a creative way to idol Sean out. I think I legitimately have a chance against Lindsey and Linda, or Gabe and Linda, and that is my ideal final four. And I genuinely think I can get there.

Rest assured, the next tribal council will be explosive. I think there are gonna be a lot of dropped jaws if we can pull off what we're trying to pull off.

I have to laugh at Sarah telling me she has the idol, though. God, I can't believe she's made final 8. I guess Darwinism doesn't apply to Stranded.

So we're going to have yet another unanimous vote in Stranded haha. Here's my question about unanimous votes, the person who goes AFTER that unanimous vote always missed an opportunity to make a move before the move was made on them. So essentially by everyone agreeing to boot someone unanimously they are either A. taking out a large threat or B. hoping they have their ducks in a row for the following boots. Otherwise everyone who does not win will have missed an opportunity here.

Do you feel like you have your ducks in a row enough to sacrifice an opportunity here?

I think booting Sarah is the safest bet because I'm not sure if Pat and Gabe are on my side any longer. By booting Sarah I can ensure I know who the boot target is, to make the next vote off go as smoothly as possible. If there is a risk of a surprise at the next TC, it makes me scramble in the following hours at the next TC.

Plus Sarah seems like she would hold a grudge. If we boot her unanimously, she can't point to another person in the finals and say "they didn't vote me off, so I'm voting for them".

Ps... if she hadn't been Cacique she would have been Mariches second boot. So the fact that she's survived this long is remarkable, really.

So, you want to boot Sarah unanimously so that she doesn't hold a grudge on the jury? Reading the PMs it seems like she told you the other sides plan to vote out Patricia and that you agreed to it. If that was me and I found out that the person I was spilling this information to was voting me out I would feel pretty betrayed.

I'm worried because if we boot Pat, Sarah could easily side with the other guys the next round. Then I've betrayed Pat and I'm outnumbered.

Im disappointed I'm at work, makes it harder to communicate. I think this is gonna be one of those votes where it isnt decided until the very last second.

I'm no Dawn expert, but if I were to pin someone as crying and threatening to quit and making a scene all the time I would think it would be LInda. icon_lol

Never compare your game to that of a real Survivor.
