As per the rules, it costs you nothing to pre-vote, they can always be changed throughout Tribal Council until the votes are due. You do not need to confirm pre-votes.

I'm assuming that's to save the former tamanaco on the other tribe and boot the new tamanaco members? What happens if one of your allies has flipped and you are blindsided after having thrown a challenge?
